My Prayer Strategy #4 - "Shoes of Peace"

Father, the word says in John 16:33 that we "will have trouble", but it also says that you "have overcome the world."

I want to be like the eagle that uses the elements of the storm to lift them up higher.  I want to benefit from the storms that blow through my life.  I know that storms do pass, and while in it, it can be fierce - lots of wind, lots of debrie blowing around. Keep me steady in it with a peace that only you can give.  Help me to be locked into your peace.  Something in this storm is making me to be what you want me to become.

The enemy wants me unhinged, but with your peace, I will survive and thrive.  I will position myself in your peace.

The enemy has come to kill, to steal and destroy, but you have come to give life (John 10) and more abundant life.  Let my peace stand firm in you knowing that I have peace with you and I have the gift of peace.  Peace that you give, peace that you have left for me so my heart wouldn't be troubled.

Your peace:
  • gives me a firm grip
  • gives me a stability
  • allows me to keep my footing
  • will keep me sane
Philipians 4:6-7 says this:

"Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything.  Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all he has done.  Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand.  His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus."

Father, help me to not be anxious but to pray.  Make my requests known and be thankful.  My thankfulness will activate peace.

I want calmness of my soul in the midst of life.

Your peace will keep me focused and moving in the right direction. I want to remember that the gospel of peace is the Good News that the separation doesn't exist anymore with You, but Christ bridged that gap at the cross.

Let your peace help me to also move forward, to take ground, to take back everything the enemy has stolen.

Help me to advance against the enemy and tear down strongholds in prayer and with your word.

Amen
